Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 20-year-old Puna man wanted for questioning in several investigations.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 20-year-old Puna man wanted for questioning in several investigations.

Dyson Kepano of Keaau is described as 5-foot-6, 135 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He is known to frequent Puna and Hilo.

Police want to question him about several burglaries, thefts and forgeries. In these cases, someone broke into homes and stole personal checks and other items. The checks were then forged and cashed or attempts were made to cash them at banks and at other establishments in Hilo, police said.

Anyone with information on Kepano’s whereabouts is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311. Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
